Vigilante Recovers Stolen Bike, Hands It Over To Owner

AGBOR/Nigeria: Members of the Vigilant Group of Nigeria (VGN), Agbor Division, led by Mr. Emmanuel Asiwe, recovered a Lifan motorcycle that was allegedly stolen over the weekend.

The victim, a native of Ukwuani who is also in his mid-thirties uses the motorcycle for commercial services before it was stolen in the middle of the night.

Speaking with newsmen, the owner of the bike Mr. Azubike Esume said he parked the said motorcycle at his residence having closed from the day’s activities but was shocked by not seeing the motorcycle when he woke up the next morning being Sunday.

According to him, I have done everything possible since the last two days yet no result. I almost lost my mind because the bike is less than three months old and it is our only source of livelihood.

“It was just like a movie, when I was told that the vigilante group in Agbor were calling for the claim of a recovered motorcycle. On getting to their office, behold it was my three months old Lifan motorcycle which was given to me on higher purchase” he stated.

While commending the members’ security outfit, he urged the government to continue empowering them with what is required for them to function maximally.

“I really want to appreciate the Chairman and the entire members of VGN Agbor Division for this great favour done to me, where will I have started from” stated.

On his part, the leader of the group Mr. Emmanuel Asiwe noted they found the motorcycle along the street beside Feico Petrol station Uromi junction axis in Agbor while on patrol in the wee hours of the same Sunday.

He pointed out that the hoodlum must have sighted their vehicle from a distance and abandoned the motorcycle.

While congratulating Mr. Esume, he urged members of the public to be vigilant, adding security is everyone’s business.
