Ukwuani PDP Chairman Lands Okowa, Esiso
Obiaruku: The Governor of Delta state Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state Chairman, Bar. Kingsley Esiso has been commended for their firm administration of the party in state.
The commendation was made recently at the occasion of the visit of the PDP state EXCO to Ukwuani LGA by the Ukwuani LGA Chairman, Engr. Patrick Kaine.
Engr. Kaine in his welcome address commended the governor for the number of political appointees in his government, saying it had never been like that since the inception of the democratic rule in 1999.
“Frankly speaking, Ukwuani LGA has never had it so good as this, since the inception of this our current democratic government in 1999”. He said.
Speaking further, he said that the good disposition of the elected and appointed sons and daughters of Ukwuani, Which had led to a bi-monthly empowerment programme of N100,000.00 and N200,000.00 to two carefully selected indigent party faithful’s per ward.
The LGA Chairman commended the state EXCO for the visit, describing it as a landmark achievements, as his visit will strength the party in the area, as it will give each member a sense of belonging, and seriousness about their responsibility of taking the party to an enviable height in the area.
He also used the occasion to applaud the youth entrepreneurship programme of the state government, which had benefited many Ukwuani youths. He however, called for the infrastructural development of the area, especially in the area of road networks.
He reminded the chairman, that the development of physical infrastructure of the LGA is vital, as some of the projects mentioned are projects that are dear to the people of the area as they are people oriented, and politically will help the party to avoid being apologetic and begging for votes in future elections.
