Ukah, Delta House Of Assembly Chief Whip, Others Attend Late PDP Chairman’s Burial

Stakeholders from all walks of life especially the political class in  Oshimili North Local Government Area and Delta State in general have attended the burial ceremony of the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for ward 9 Okpanam/ Ugbolu,  late Mr. Frederick Odanwu.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, the Chief Whip of Delta State House of Assembly and member representing Oshimili North Constituency, Hon. Pat Ajudua, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, office of the SSG, Mr. Felix Ideh and the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Community Development, Ogbueshi Innocent Uchibolu were among dignitaries that graced the ceremony.

Others who were in attendance included the Vice Chairman of Oshimili North Council, Hon. Uju Okolo, the councillors representing Okpanam ward, Hon. Sunday Mordi, Hon. Barry Ezuche Okonkwo and Hon. Nkem Franca Nwankwo as well as the President of Okpanam Youths Organisation, Comr. Lucky Okolo.

Speaking to newsmen, the PDP ward 9 Secretary, Mr. Joseph Nwabiankea described the late Odanwu as a man with good heart and outstanding leadership qualities.

While saying that the deceased was very passionate about things that could unite and develop the community, Mr. Nwabiankea advised the children to sustain the positive life style of their father.

Also speaking, a principal member of the deceased age grade, Ogbueshi Patrick Igbinoba said that late Odanwu was a very humble man, accommodating and accomplished party leader, adding that his death had brought severe pains not only to his family, his age grade but Okpanam community in general.

Ogbueshi Igbinoba said that late ward 9 PDP chairman’s life was quite impactful just as he called on his children to sustain his legacies.

Earlier in an homely , Rev.(Fr.) Malachi Okonkwo of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Okpanam described death as an inevitable end to the lives of every human being on earth, adding that the deceased was a God fearing man who possessed several qualities worthy of emulation.

Rev. (Fr.) Okonkwo, who urged all and sundry to live their lives with the fear of God at all times, admonished the children and family of late Odanwu to follow his good part.

The first son of the deceased, Mr. Chucks Odanwu noted that his father was a father to all, stressing that he had given them solid foundation to stand in life.

Mr. Chucks Odanwu, who said that though their father had gone to meet his Creator, his legacies would be sustained even as he pledged to unite the family at all times.
