Ughelli North Elected and Appointed Officials Endorse Governor Oborewori’s Infrastructural Reforms

UGHELLI/Nigeria: The Elected and Political Appointees Forum of Ughelli North Local Government Area has expressed strong support for Governor Sheriff Oborewori, commending his significant contributions to the state’s infrastructure.

During a recent forum meeting hosted by Dr. Isaac Akpoveta, Director General of the Delta State Contributory Health Commission (DSCHC), at his Ofuoma residence, the group passed a unanimous vote of confidence in the governor. This endorsement was initiated by Dr. Chris Oharisi, Chairman of the Board of Delta State College of Health Technology, and seconded by Mr. Sylvester Ovbidje, a member representing Ughelli and Udu on the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC).

Forum Chairman Olorogun Jaro Egbo praised Governor Oborewori for his efforts in promoting equitable development across the state. Egbo, recently elected and inaugurated as Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, also acknowledged the forum members for their unwavering support during the election period, which culminated in victories for him and the PDP.

Engr. Christabel Obiuwevbi, Delta Central Director at the Direct Labour Agency, lauded the governor’s impactful leadership, attributing the PDP’s success in local government elections to Oborewori’s outstanding developmental achievements.

In a post-meeting interview, Sir Festus Ahon, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oborevwori, revealed that the governor plans to commission several projects in the upcoming weeks.

Dr. Isaac Akpoveta, the host of the event, emphasized the governor’s inclusive leadership, ensuring that no tribe or section of the state is marginalized.
