Tompolo Mourns Edwin Clark, Hails His Legacy as a Fearless Leader

WARRI/Nigeria: Renowned Ijaw leader and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of elder statesman and Ijaw nationalist, Pa (Senator) Edwin Kiagbodo Clark.
In a condolence message issued on Wednesday, Tompolo described Clark’s death as a monumental loss, not only to the Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo but also to the South-South geopolitical zone and the entire nation.
“The news came as a rude shock. Even though he was advanced in age, he remained full of life and actively engaged in national affairs. His passing has created a vacuum in the country’s leadership structure,” Tompolo stated.
He extolled Clark’s legacy as a fearless and irrepressible advocate of democracy and socio-economic justice, emphasizing his role as a strong voice for the voiceless. “Senator Clark was a father to the fatherless, a defender of truth, and a relentless crusader for justice. Nigeria has lost one of its most potent voices in the South-South,” he added.
Tompolo prayed for God to grant the Clark family and the entire nation the fortitude to bear what he described as an irreparable loss.
