Tolulope Akande-Sadipe Mourns Deputy Chief Whip Onanuga as a Monumental Loss
ABUJA/Nigeria: The member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, describing the loss as devastating and shocking.
In a heartfelt condolence message issued in Abuja, Akande-Sadipe lamented the passing of her close colleague and friend, whom she eulogized as a fearless and brilliant lawmaker. She noted that the late Onanuga, fondly known as “Ijaya,” made significant contributions to the 10th National Assembly, women’s empowerment, and the well-being of her constituents.
“Words fail me, and my heart is heavy as I write this,” Akande-Sadipe said. “The news of the passing of Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, fondly known as ‘Ijaya,’ has shaken me deeply. She was not just a colleague but a sister in the shared struggles we faced, both politically and personally.”
