Tinubu’s Bold Leadership Steering Nigeria Towards Economic Recovery – Omo-Agege
ABUJA/Nigeria: Former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a nationalist whose decisive leadership is pulling Nigeria’s economy back from the brink of collapse. He lauded Tinubu’s bold economic policies, emphasizing that the president prioritized long-term national growth over short-term applause.
In a goodwill message to mark Tinubu’s 73rd birthday, Omo-Agege, in a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Sunny Areh, commended the president’s courage in making difficult but necessary economic decisions. He asserted that these policies were designed to stabilize the country and set it on a path of sustainable development.
“Rather than retain a failing system that could have earned him temporary praise but accelerated economic decline, President Tinubu took bold steps to halt the drift and chart a new course for enduring growth. His approach is both admirable and inspiring, ensuring Nigeria’s return to a sustainable development trajectory,” Omo-Agege stated.
He further noted that while some of these tough decisions have come with initial challenges, they were necessary to avert economic disaster. “Tough decisions needed to be made, and the president did not shy away from that responsibility. Though some policies posed short-term difficulties, it is evident that they were imperative to rescue the economy. We are fortunate to have a leader who is vision-driven and focused,” the Obarisi of Urhoboland added.
Omo-Agege called on Nigerians to support Tinubu’s transformational agenda, urging all stakeholders to set aside political differences and contribute to the country’s economic restoration. “What Nigeria needs now is collective effort, devoid of political bias, to ensure the success of President Tinubu’s vision for national prosperity,” he emphasized.
Congratulating Tinubu on his 73rd birthday, Omo-Agege expressed confidence in his leadership, assuring Nigerians that the country is in safe and competent hands. “On behalf of my family and the All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Delta State, I celebrate President Tinubu and wish him many more years of impactful service to Nigeria,” he stated.
