Tinubu to Address Nation Amid Widespread #EndBadGovernance Protests
ABUJA/Nigeria: Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has responded to mounting calls to address the nation as widespread #EndBadGovernance protests entered their third day on Saturday.
In a statement, Tinubu’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, announced the address, stating, “Television, radio, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to plug into the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast.”
Ngelale added that the broadcast will be repeated on the network services of the NTA and the FRCN at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day.
The President’s address comes as protests have reverberated across Nigeria’s 36 states and the nation’s capital, Abuja, highlighting widespread discontent over the country’s economic situation.
