Tinubu Has A Transformation Vision for Niger Delta – Ebie
IKOT EKPENE/Nigeria: Mr. Chiedu Ebie, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has unveiled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ambitious plan to metamorphose the Niger Delta Region into a bastion of peace and development.
Speaking at a two-day strategic retreat held by the Commission’s board and management at Four Points by Sheraton, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom state, Barrister Ebie emphasized President Tinubu’s earnest desire to propel the region towards prosperity.
Ebie highlighted that President Tinubu’s commitment stems from the significant role played by the Governing Board of NDDC, comprised of eminent Nigerians, which was among the first federal government parastatals constituted upon his assumption of office last year.
Addressing the attendees, Ebie underscored the proactive measures taken by the board to dispel negative perceptions surrounding the Commission, expressing confidence in their leadership style aimed at inspiring trust among stakeholders.
Grateful for the unwavering support and guidance from President Tinubu, Ebie emphasized the retreat’s objective of aligning the Commission’s objectives with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, themed “Renewed Hope: A New Era of Vitality, Peace, and Development.”
Ebie further emphasized the significance of the retreat’s sub-themes in fostering good governance, with distinguished resource persons set to delve into crucial topics to enrich discussions and foster enduring partnerships.
“As the retreat begins, it is imperative for us to collectively delve into the nuances of Niger Delta development, seeking both answers and insights into the region’s future,” Ebie stated, urging active participation from all attendees.
