Tilije Fuels Educational Dreams for 413 Ndokwa Children
OBIARUKU/Nigeria: Sir Okenmor Fidelis Tilije, a renowned philanthropist, has reaffirmed his dedication to advancing education in the Ndokwa Nation through impactful initiatives benefiting both students and staff at Our Lady’s Apostle Nursery and Primary School, Obiaruku.
Tilije, widely celebrated for his generosity, has consistently funded termly scholarships for 413 pupils at the school, pledging to sustain the program until enrollment reaches 1,000. This commitment underscores his passion for ensuring access to quality education for children in the community.
Beyond scholarships, Tilije has invested in improving the school’s infrastructure. His contributions include the installation of doors and windows and tiling work to enhance ongoing construction of secondary school blocks, creating a conducive learning environment for students.
In recognition of the dedication of the teaching and non-teaching staff, Tilije has introduced an additional ₦10,000 monthly allowance for each staff member, a gesture aimed at encouraging excellence and boosting morale.
Taking his support further, Tilije plans to establish a fish, pig, poultry, and crop farm for the school. This initiative is designed to foster self-reliance and generate funds for future school projects, ensuring sustainable development.
In his unwavering commitment to human development, Tilije has also awarded study scholarships to two Reverend Sisters from the school, Rev. Sr. Louise Okiemute Edafefevwioni and Rev. Sr. Antonia Orede, enabling them to pursue their education in Russia.
