Teachers Professional Development Centre, Aimed Attaining Professionalism, Says Director

ASABA/Nigeria: The Director General of the Teachers Professional Development Centre (TPDC) , Dr Anthony Dibashi has described the institution as a center of excellence designed for the training and retraining of Teachers for the attainment of professionalism.

Dr Dibashi, who gave the indication during an interactive session held at the conference hall of the office of the HOS, admonished the prospective staff of the Teachers Professional Development Centre , to be committed to their duties .

He said that a formal training would be organised for them in order to be properly acquainted with the nitty-gritty of the institution.

The TPDC Director-General noted  that the establishment of the Teachers Professional Development Center was conceived by the Delta State Government during an educational summit in 2016.

According to Dr Anthony Dibashi, “the institution is consisted of various departments, such as Operation and Teachers Services, General Administrative, Finance and Technical Services”.

Describing some of the structural components of the institution, Dr Dibashi disclosed that the TPDC had about 110 rooms which is capable of accommodating over 200 participating teachers.

The high point of the session was the general interview conducted for the staff.
