Tantita Security Services Contributes To Military Welfare With State-Of-The-Art Facilities
EFFURUN/Nigeria: The Nigerian Army has officially inaugurated the newly constructed 3 Battalion Soldiers’ Transit Accommodation at Effurun Barrack in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State. The project, built and furnished by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSL), features modern facilities aimed at enhancing the welfare of military personnel.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Major General Jamal Abdussalam, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 6 Division, Nigerian Army. In his address, Abdussalam praised Tantita Security for its commitment to supporting the welfare of soldiers and acknowledged the significance of the new accommodation in boosting troop morale and operational effectiveness.
“The 6 Division of the Nigerian Army will continue to protect critical national assets and create a conducive environment for crude oil and gas exploration activities in the region,” he stated. Abdussalam also expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff for his strategic guidance, reaffirming the division’s commitment to maintaining law and order in its area of responsibility.
He emphasized that the soldiers’ transit accommodation represents a crucial milestone in addressing the pressing needs of troops. “This project aligns with the Chief of Army Staff’s command philosophy of transforming the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, equipped, and motivated force,” Abdussalam added.
The GOC recognized Tantita Security’s substantial investment in the project, highlighting the spirit of camaraderie and goodwill it fosters between the military and the private sector. He encouraged the company to extend its support to other barracks within the area of responsibility, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in improving the welfare of military personnel.
Engineer Keston Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services, who was represented by Captain Warredi Enisuoh, Executive Director of Operations/Technical Services, expressed the company’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of military personnel in the region. He stated that the accommodation was designed to deepen the bond between Tantita and the Nigerian Army while supporting efforts to combat crude oil theft in the area.
Pondi commended the Chief of Army Staff and other security agencies for their cooperation in the fight against illegal activities affecting national assets. He reaffirmed Tantita Security’s dedication to partnering with the military to ensure the success of their operations.
Local government officials, including Chief Anthony Ofoni, Chairman of Uvwie Local Government, and Major E. Onoja, Commander of the 3 Battalion, also praised Tantita Security for its generous contribution, highlighting how the new facility will enhance the operational capabilities of military personnel stationed in the region.
