South South Writers to Meets in Delta Oct 28-Oct 31 2021
KWALE/Nigeria: Writers Association in the South South Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria has slated their annual meeting and lecture between October 28-October 31, 2021, in Kwale.
The event will be hosted by the South South Leader, and Publisher of Ndokwa Vanguard Publisher, Uncle Alaska Ekele, stated that the events was initially in 2020, but could not hold because of the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
In a release signed by the Secretary of South South Writers Union Dr Ofonime Inyang and made available to the press it says “Alaska Ekele happens to be our President and has been granted the hosting right for the maiden edition of the International Convention.” The arrival date according to the release is October 28, 2021 and departure is October 31, 2021.
The Theme of the Convention is “The Role of Creative Writing in National Peace and Security in Nigeria.” The Keynote Speaker is Professor Barclays Ayakorona of the Department of Theatre Arts, University for Africa, Toru Orua, Bayelsa State.
Other side attractions include Gala Night, Cultural Display, Tour, Competitions, and Dinner/Award Ceremony.
