Schools Looking Forward To Maiden Kaduna SWAN Indoor Sports – Committee

KADUNA/Nigeria: Several public and private schools are upbeat and anxiously looking forward to the maiden edition of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) 2018 Secondary Schools Indoor Sports.
This was disclosed in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson and Secretary, Abdulwaheed Adubi of the organising committee, made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Sunday.
According to the statement, several of the over 50 schools which were invited have indicated interest to participate in the competition, billed to commence on Friday October 26 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
“We are pleased to inform the general public that all is set for the Kaduna Schools Indoor Sports Competition.
“The venue is secured, the schools have called to assure their participation and support is still coming in,” it stated.
SWAN explained that the competition which was earlier billed for September was rescheduled because more schools indicated interest.
“Meanwhile, we urge schools to furnish details of those who would be representing them to our Secretariat, latest by noon on Thursday October 25. This will aid our final planning,” it added.
The two-day competition which starts on Friday ends on Saturday.
