Remain Steadfast in Christ, Build a Stronger Delta, Guwor Urges Christians at Easter

ASABA/Nigeria: Christians across the world have been urged to remain steadfast in their faith in Jesus Christ and committed to the mission of winning souls for God.
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, made the call in his Easter message to Deltans on the 2025 celebration of the resurrection of Christ.
In the message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, Rt. Hon. Guwor described Easter as a profound reminder of Christ’s victory over death for the salvation of mankind, urging believers to draw strength and comfort from the triumph of life over death and darkness.
Guwor, who is also the National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, charged Christians to spread love, kindness, and compassion, reflecting the teachings of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
He extended warm Easter greetings to his constituents, members and staff of the Delta State Legislature, and all Deltans, praying that the occasion would bring renewed hope, peace, and happiness to individuals and the entire state.
The Speaker expressed gratitude to Deltans for their continued trust and support, assuring them of the unwavering commitment of the 8th Delta Assembly to promoting peace, security, and good governance.
He further appealed to all citizens to continue to work together for unity, progress, and sustainable development in Delta State, stressing that the success of the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration depends on the active support of all stakeholders.
“As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for peace, total healing, and happiness in our state and our great nation. The triumph of life over death and darkness shall remain a source of our inspiration. Let us strive for more unity, progress, and development in our beloved Delta State and indeed Nigeria,” Guwor stated.
He wished all Deltans and Nigerians a blessed and joyous Easter celebration.
