Quite Order: Nmalagu Call on Northern Governors to Caution Arewa Youths

ASABA/Nigeria: The Northern state governors had been advised to call the youths in the north to order, to prevent the disintegration of the country.

Making the call in a press statement over the weekend, the Executive Assistant to the governor of Delta state on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatmen Nmalagu, said the recent statement ordering the Igbo’s, and their continued insistent that they will not backdown on the quite notice to the Igbo’s to leave the northern part of the country before October 1, 2017, is anti development.

He reminded the governors that it beholds on them as the Chief Executives of their states to protect the lives of every citizen and their properties, as no state exists and develops independently without other tribes contributing to the development of that state.

“The stability, peace, growth and development of Nigeria is a national issue which inevitably requires the contribution of all the tribes across Nigeria”.

Bishop Nmalagu reminded the governors that the problem confronting the country is affecting every tribe, and it beholds on the governors to ensure no tribe is harassed.

“The Governors in the North should ensure that no tribe is harassed, maimed, killed or their properties destroyed or stolen”.

He reminded the governors and Nigerians, that the Igbo agitation is a national one, which should not be sweeped under the carpet, but make efforts to ensure it does not break the ones, and unity of the country.

“The agitation by the Igbo youths is a national issue which all Nigerians must make effort to prevent from breaking the oneness, unity, peace and love existing amongst the tribes that make up this country”.

He advised the governors to use their good offices to prevent the youts from taking laws into their hands to avoid dividing the country.

“Asking the Igbos to quit from Northern states and forcing them to remove their properties is an evil steps that will cause more harm to present administration across this nation”.

“If the youths are truly fighting for the unity of this nation, they should put off every war plan. It is a war plan to ask the Igbos to leave because very many of them may not be supporting the breaking of this nation, hence they willingly established their businesses, married and built mansions, not just small houses which are part of the developments across the nation”.

The Bishop drew the adverse effects of the youths implementing their order to the Igbos to quit the Northern states is not solution to the agitations,  rather, it will be an avenue for the enemies of this nation and lazy people to loot, kill and bring the worse underdevelopment to all affected states and Nigeria at large.

Blood shedding and war will not take any tribe to anywhere.

“The governors should take an urgent and drastic actions so that the evil  persons supporting them and youths who planned the quit order given to lgbos will not magnify their  illegal actions to religious crises and use the opportunity to further kill Christians in the North”. He concluded.
