Push for Anioma State Gains Ground as ‘De Believers Organization’ Backs Nwoko’s Advocacy

ASABA/Nigeria: The drive for Anioma State creation received a significant boost in Asaba as De Believers Organization was inaugurated to support Senator Ned Nwoko’s advocacy. The Delta North Senatorial District lawmaker has been at the forefront of the movement, reigniting a 50-year-old aspiration with his Senate bill for the state’s creation.

Over 200 socio-cultural and civil society groups have pledged their support, rallying around Senator Nwoko’s vision to ensure equitable development and political representation for the Anioma people.

Hon. Nicholas Ossai Ossai, convener of De Believers Organization and former Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency lawmaker, described the group as a critical pillar in the Anioma state creation agenda. “This is a patriotic and noble effort that will herald a new dawn for Anioma’s socio-economic and political landscape,” he said.

High Chief Ugo Asibelue, representing Senator Nwoko, emphasized the Senator’s steadfast commitment to the cause, noting that the widely celebrated Anioma Stakeholders Summit marked a turning point in the movement.

Stakeholders reiterated that the creation of Anioma State would address long-standing issues of insecurity, unemployment, and regional disparities. They called for unity and collaboration, urging all Anioma indigenes to rally behind Senator Nwoko’s efforts.

The group lauded Senator Nwoko’s impactful leadership, affirming that his initiatives have garnered immense backing within Delta State and beyond, setting the stage for a historic achievement in Nigeria’s state creation discourse.
