Pointer Newspaper to Honour Elder Emmanuel Ogidi with Leadership Icon Award at 30

ASABA/Nigeria: As part of its 30th-anniversary celebrations, The Pointer Newspaper, a publication of the Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC), has announced that Elder Emmanuel Ogidi, FNIPR, former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South-South, will be recognized with the Leadership Icon and Long Service Award.
The prestigious recognition was formally communicated to the PDP chieftain in a letter signed by the Chairman of the DPPC Board, Chief (Dr.) Ebenezer Okorodudu, and the General Manager, Mr. Godfrey Obaka, a cremony that will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Grand Hotel, Asaba, with Prof. Sam Oyovbaire. to chair the occasion.
In the letter, the DPPC Board highlighted Ogidi’s significant contributions to public communication and institutional development, emphasizing his leadership role in shaping the communication landscape in the state.
“In recognition of your outstanding public communication and institutional development, the Board and Management of DPPC cordially invite you to receive this prestigious award,” the letter read.
The statement further acknowledged Ogidi’s enduring commitment to excellence, leadership, and public service, which has positioned him as a revered figure in the fields of media and governance.
The 30th-anniversary celebration is themed “Pointer@30: Honouring Truth and Unity through Excellence in Public Communication”, and seeks to recognize individuals who have made remarkable contributions to upholding truth and fostering unity through media and public discourse.
