PDP Leaders in Ethiope East Set for Mega Empowerment Programme
ISIOKOLO/Nigeria: In line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, elected representatives and political appointees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ethiope East Local Government Area are set to roll out a large-scale empowerment initiative for their constituents.
A statement on Saturday by the Publicity Secretary of the Ethiope Federal Constituency PDP Forum, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, described the event as the “Mother of All Empowerments,” aimed at appreciating party faithful and supporters while providing financial support to boost their businesses.
According to Oghenesivbe, the initiative, covering all 11 wards in Ethiope East, is spearheaded by the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo. The elected officials and appointees have pooled resources amounting to several millions of naira to complement Governor Oborevwori’s empowerment drive, which has so far benefited over 280,000 young entrepreneurs and women across Delta’s three senatorial districts since his inauguration on May 29, 2023.
The mega empowerment event is scheduled to take place at the Secretariat Hall of the Ethiope East Local Government Council, Isiokolo, Agbon Kingdom. Guests and beneficiaries are expected to be seated by 9:45 a.m., with the programme commencing at 10:00 a.m.
Dignitaries expected at the event include Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, Commissioner for Higher Education Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, PDP LGA Leader Chief Bernard Edewor, Chief Michael Adiotomre, Rt. Hon. Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese Esq., State Director of Protocol Chief Sunday Onoriode, Ethiope East Local Government Chairman Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, PDP LGA Chairman Chief Midwest Iboyitete, Chief James Omeru, Dr. (Barr.) Sunday Omovie, and Dr. (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq., among others.
