PDP kicks-off Local Government  Campaign With Massive Mobilisation ….As Okowa, Uduaghan, Sheriff calls for vote to end hardship in the country

PATANI/Nigeria: The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP barely two weeks after concluding  its ward-to-ward campaigns in the 270 Wards of the State, today December21, 2022, commenced its Local Government campaign with visit to Patani and Isoko North Local Government Areas.

The campaign which saw massive mobilisations from all the Wards of the  two Local Government areas, witnessed the attendance of the members and  leaders of the party in the State, despite the short notice given to them  to host the campaign flag-off.
Speaking in Isoko North, former Chairman of the party in South-South,
Elder Emma Ogidi, appreciated the party members in the area, saying that
their quick response was a clear indication of the party’s presence
in Isoko North Local Government Area of the State.
“What you are seeing here today, is a sign of a people who love their
party, the PDP. Despite the very short notice of less than 24 hours, we
were able to mobilise this massive number of people from Isoko North.
This tells you we are at home. PDP is intact, and we assure you we will deliver  all our candidates.” He stated.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, the State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa charged the people to mobilise for the election and vote out challenges which
were caused by the ineptitude of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Governor Stated that to be able to change the situation, it requires commitment fromthe party faithful to mobilise their people to come out and vote for the PDP, which  is the only hope for the Country.
“I charge you to mobilise for the 2023 General Elections, it will be the
the only way we can vote out the sufferings of Nigerians, because of the
maladministration by the APC-led Government, which had caused suffering, hunger, and insecurity.”
Also speaking, the former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta
Uduaghan told the crowd that vote for all PDP candidates will be a vote
for prosperity, and development of the Country.
He gave kudos to the candidacy of the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi
Okowa, as the Vice-Presidential candidate of the party, as it will bring
more Federal attention to Delta State.
“We have to mobilise to ensure a massive vote for our candidates. We need that massive vote for the victory of the PDP at the Presidential election, as  that victory with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as the Vice-President, will be
victory for Deltans.”
“It will help attract more Federal presence to the State, which will be
good for us as Deltans. A vote for PDP will be a vote to wipe out rising
inflation, insecurity, and hardship.”
“The President and Vice-Presidential candidates must win their election,
and they must win it very well for this to happen”. He stated.
Also speaking, the Governorship candidate of the party in the State and
Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, encouraged voters of the two Local Government Areas not to be
disturbed, but be focused as the party is ready to rescue the Country in
2023.
Hon sheriff stated that with his experiences from his years as a member of the State House of Assembly, and the Speaker he had garnered experiences
to govern the State, and he will never fail the electorates if elected, as he is ready to provide more dividends of democracy to Deltans.
He charged the electorates in the two Local Government Areas to vote
for the party, to end all forms of hardship in the Country, which the All Progressives Congress, APC had inflicted on the nation.
Others who spoke were the Chairman of the party in the State, Barr. Kingsley Esiso, the Director of the Campaign Organization, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon.
Those who attended the campaign rallies in both Local Government areas,
were the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ochor
Christopher Ochor, the Deputy Governorship candidate, Sir Monday Onyeme, Delta North PDP Chairman, Elder Moses Iduh, and many others.
