IBADAN/Nigeria: The Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Michael Koleoso, former National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
In a heartfelt statement released on Thursday, Adeniran described Chief Koleoso as a forthright politician, a true patriot, and a selfless leader whose contributions to the political landscape of Oyo State were immeasurable.
“Chief Michael Koleoso was bold, open-minded, and always stood for the right cause. His impact on the Alliance for Democracy during its formative years was unquantifiable. He played pivotal roles during my early years in politics and supported me throughout my political journey,” Adeniran noted.
Offering condolences to the Emi Abata Dynasty of Saki and Chief Koleoso’s immediate family, Adeniran reflected on Koleoso’s legacy as a progressive leader who served as Chairman of Ibadan Southwest Local Government between 1999 and 2002 and later as Secretary to the Oyo State Government under the administration of the late Lam Adesina.
“Pa Koleoso was a man of honesty and integrity. His name is written in gold for his exemplary leadership. Although death is inevitable, the loss of a figure like Chief Koleoso, who made such significant contributions, is deeply felt,” Adeniran added.
Dr. Adeniran concluded his tribute by praying for the peaceful repose of Koleoso’s soul, stating, “I commiserate with the Koleoso family and pray that God grants Babalaje eternal rest. Goodnight, sir.”
