Oyo Government to Distribute Appointment Letters to 902 Recruited Graduates

IBADAN/Nigeria: The Oyo State Government has announced that appointment letters for the 902 graduates recently recruited into the state civil service will be distributed starting Friday, January 24, 2025.

This recruitment, approved by Governor Seyi Makinde, includes graduates with university degrees and higher national diplomas.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, successful applicants are expected to collect their letters of appointment at designated offices of the commission. The collection period will run from January 24 to January 28, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily, except on Friday, when the window will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

While congratulating the successful candidates, Aderibigbe urged them to conduct themselves in an orderly manner during the exercise. He emphasized that collection by proxy will not be allowed, adding that commissioners will be present to monitor the process.

The collection schedule includes:

  • Friday, January 24, 2025: Administrative Officer, Accountant, Agricultural Officer, and Education Officer cadres.
  • Monday, January 27, 2025: Various technical and professional cadres, including Animal Health Technologists, Auditors, Civil Engineers, and Youth Development Officers.
  • Tuesday, January 28, 2025: Officers in information, public relations, statistics, and legal services, among others.

Aderibigbe expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for what he described as a landmark recruitment initiative in the history of Oyo State. He prayed for continued grace and good health for the governor.
