Osuoza Urges Peace, Unity, and Kindness as Delta Celebrates Christmas
ASABA/Nigeria: As the Christmas season envelops Delta State with joy, warmth, and goodwill, the Delta State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the welfare of its citizens, ensuring that the season’s spirit of giving resonates across communities.
In a statement by the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi M. Osuoza, the government highlighted the significance of Christmas as a time of celebration, unity, and reflection on the birth of Jesus Christ, which ushers in tidings of great joy to humanity.
Dr. Osuoza noted that despite the prevailing economic challenges, the state government, under its M.O.R.E Agenda, has remained steadfast in delivering the dividends of democracy and fostering development. Through programs like D.CARES, the M.O.R.E Grants Scheme, and the M.O.R.E Biz-Up initiative, the administration has positively transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Deltans across the three senatorial zones.
“These welfare initiatives and social security empowerment programs have brought smiles to the faces of our people,” Dr. Osuoza said. “This Christmas, we see communities bursting with songs and dances of joy, a testament to the positive impact of these interventions.”
The commissioner urged Deltans to embrace the true spirit of Christmas by showing love to friends and neighbors and fostering peace, unity, and harmony within the state. He also emphasized the importance of safety and lawfulness during the celebrations.
“As we enjoy the festivities, let us stay safe, remain law-abiding, and extend kindness to one another,” Dr. Osuoza advised. “Together, let’s uphold the values of unity and coexistence as one Delta.”
Concluding his message, Dr. Osuoza wished all Deltans a Merry Christmas and joyful celebrations, reiterating the government’s dedication to ensuring a prosperous and united Delta State.
