Oshimili North PDP Sets Up Ward Campaign Councils

IBUSSA/Nigeria: The Oshimili North chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has set up ward campaign councils to ensure the success of this year’s general election campaign coming up in Akwukwu Igbo, the local government headquarters on Tuesday, January 12 by 12noon.

During a meeting of party leaders in the area held on January 5, 2019 in Ibusa, the council is also to work tirelessly to bring about the victory of the party in the Presidential, Governorship, Senatorial, House of Representatives and state House of Assembly elections.

Announcing the names of members of the ward campaign councils, the Coordinator of the state campaign council in the local government and Commissioner for Information, Ogbueshi Patrick Ukah, charged them to work harmoniously in order to deliver all PDP candidates during the elections.

Earlier, the Chairman of the state campaign council in the local government, Dr. Austin Obidi, revealed that the ruling party is planning to compromise the general election, but told them that the only way out is to vote massively for the PDP so that there will be room for manipulations.

He cautioned the members not to take anything for granted because it is not over until it is over, urging them to go to markets, churches, mosques and door to door to canvass for votes for the PDP.

Dr. Obidi advised those who have not collected their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) to do so in order to be able to exercise their franchise during the elections.

The meeting was attended by the member representing the local government in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Princess Pat Ajudua, and other party leaders in the area.
