Onyeme Expresses Shock and Condolences Following Tragic Accident Scene

OGWASHI-UKU/Nigeria: On Saturday, June 17, 2023 Sir Monday Onyeme, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, displayed his compassionate nature when he halted his convoy at an accident site along the Ogwashi-Uku/Kwale road, just before the Isheagu junction. At approximately 2:45 pm, three lifeless bodies were observed at the accident scene, being carefully evacuated by personnel from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), whose vehicle displayed the identification number 52011.

The survivors of the unfortunate incident, involving a GLK SUV with the license plate number KUJ326CE from Abuja and a bus adorned with the emblem of St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Asaba, were promptly transported to the hospital for necessary medical care. Despite the inclement weather conditions, Sir Onyeme, who was en route to an assignment in Kwale, took it upon himself to visit the accident scene.

Upon assessing the situation and recognizing that the FRSC officials had assumed control and there were no further victims in need of assistance, the Deputy Governor reluctantly departed from the scene. His presence and concern demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of the people of Delta State.
