Omo-Agege Celebrates Felix Morka at 60, Praises Role in Defending APC’s Image
ABUJA/Nigeria: Former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has commended the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Felix Morka, for his unwavering professionalism and strategic communication, describing him as a rare asset to the party and the nation.
In a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Sunny Areh, to mark Morka’s 60th birthday, Omo-Agege hailed the Delta-born lawyer for his role in managing the ruling party’s public image with tact and intellectual clarity in a politically charged atmosphere.
The former lawmaker noted that contrary to assumptions that a party in government has an easier media terrain, it actually faces more complex scrutiny and public pressure. He said Morka’s calm disposition, analytical thinking, and deep political understanding have been critical in effectively projecting the APC’s performance and confronting misinformation.
“As the ruling party, the APC has been subject to intense, and often dubious, criticism over its stewardship. It takes exceptional composure and intellect to remain focused and communicate both achievements and challenges with integrity,” Omo-Agege stated.
He praised Morka for maintaining the party’s voice without resorting to propaganda. “Under your watch, the APC has not faltered in the face of media attacks from opposition forces. Your responses have been measured, factual, and dignified — a hallmark of true professionalism.”
Omo-Agege also described Morka as a proud ambassador of Delta State, saying he embodies the values of excellence, resilience, and service that define the people of the state.
“Your contributions continue to bring honour to Delta State and inspire confidence in the APC’s commitment to national development. On behalf of the APC in Delta, I wish you continued good health and many more productive years in the service of our party and Nigeria,” he added.
