Okpe LGA to Benefit from M.O.R.E Agenda Sensitization Tour and Free Medical Services
ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Government, through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Amb. Ese J. Emadifie, has announced plans to organize a one-day sensitization tour and medical outreach in Okpe Local Government Area. The initiative, part of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda, aims to connect with vulnerable Deltans through traditional and modern media channels.
The event, scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, 2024, will take place at the Oborevwori Townhall, Osubi, beginning at 9 a.m. It is designed to provide both medical services and empowerment opportunities to the people of Okpe LGA, fostering inclusivity and building trust in the administration’s commitment to the well-being of its citizens.
Themed “The Sensitisation Tour of the M.O.R.E Agenda/Medical Outreach to Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State,” the programme seeks to communicate the achievements of the Oborevwori administration directly to the grassroots. Organizers say the tour will showcase Governor Oborevwori’s impact while addressing misinformation and countering political blackmail, which they described as prevalent in today’s society.
“This event is about creating a sense of belonging, offering hope, and ensuring that every resident feels included in governance,” the statement read. It also emphasized the importance of accurate information in fostering a supportive and united community.
The sensitization tour is part of a broader effort by the Delta State Government to deepen its connection with the people, highlighting the administration’s achievements while tackling challenges head-on.
