Okpanam Catholics Gear Up for Christ the King Procession and First Festival at Maris Schools
OKPANAM/Nigeria: Catholics in Nigeria will on Sunday, mark the solemnity of Christ the King (Corpus Christi) with procession in parishes across the country.
The Priest in charge of St. Raphael Catholic Church, Okpanam, Rev. Fr. Andrew Mozia, had told Catholics within Ogbe Ozoma and Amachai Quarters of Okpanam that the Holy Mass for Sunday shall commence at 8.30 am after which Catholics and lovers of Jesus Christ shall commence procession from St. Raphael Catholic Church and end at Maris Schools, Amachai, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State where the universal church recently opened a Mass Centre.
During the procession, Fr. Mozia is expected to carry the Monstrance accompanied by the religious and laity who will be proclaiming Jesus Christ as King and reverence Him in the Blessed Sacrament.
A visit to Maris Schools where the procession will end shows that parishioners at the new Mass Centre in collaboration with the management of the school were working to ensure that this year’s Festival being the first to be marked in the new Mass Centre is a memorable one.
