Okowa Predicates Development On Peace, Security

EFFURUN/Nigeria: The Governor of Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa has stated no development can happen except there is peace and security in the land.
He stated this last Sunday during the 41st anniversary of the Living Faith Church, Effurun.
Governor Okowa, represented by the Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Mr Emman Amgbaduba, stated that he was overwhelmed that the church was partnering with the government in the areas of agriculture, infrastructural development, ICT and the sanctification of the youths both spiritually and physically.
He appreciated the church for its prayers in ensuring that there was peace and security both in the land and sea, and also urged the people of Delta to remain united.
In the same vein, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Dr Emmanuel Sideso Abe 1, stated that Uvwie was the commercial nerve center of Delta State, and that it should be taken as a peaceful community embracing everybody to come and invest.
The ovie expressed gratitude to Governor Okowa for making it possible that Uvwie and Warri had started to boom socially and economically again.
He said a new Delta is about to emerge where everything is working.
