Okowa Gets Commendation For Tackling Unemployment

ASABA/Nigeria: An entrepreneur and makeup artist, Miss Ekene Bernice Uchibuolu, who participated in the state government’s Skill Training and Entrepreneurship scheme, has commended Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, for the initiative aimed at tackling unemployment in the state.
Miss Uchibuolu, who is the Proprietress of the Bernice Beautified, gave the commendation on the occasion of the grand opening of her business outfit in Asaba recently.
She specifically lauded the State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah, and her father, Mr. Innocent Uchibuolu, who is the Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Community Development, for impacting positively on her, adding that she established the organisation in order to provide flexible beauty care services to the people.
In his remarks, State Chief Job Creation Officer, Prof. Eric Eboh, said that the Proprietress of the Bernice Beautified exemplified the reason the governor set up the Job Creation office and described the support of the Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner for Miss Uchibuolu as quite commendable and worthy of emulation.
While disclosing that his office would continue to work in collaboration with Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state to ensure that beneficiaries of the Job Creation were not just trained but equipped for self reliance, he urged Miss Uchibuolu to maximise the opportunities at her disposal.
Earlier in his welcome address, the traditional ruler and the Ugoani of Okpanam kingdom, Chief (Dr.) Michael Mbanefo Ogbolu, stated that the celebrant had demonstrated uncommon commitment to adding value to the society and called for support to enable her succeed in her vision.
In his goodwill message on the occasion, Commissioner for Youths Development, Mr. Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, noted that Governor Okowa was passionate about youths development in the state.
