Okeme Pledges SERVICOM Synergy With PASAN
ASABA/Nigeria: The Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on SERVICOM and Labour Relations, Comrade Mike Okeme has commended the new executives (EXCO) and board of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) Delta State chapter for their commitment, steadfastness and co-ordination with his office.
Comrade Okeme gave the commendation when the new exco led by the chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Edozie paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Asaba.
The Labour and SERVICOM Boss, who congratulated the new exco for their success in the just concluded elections, advised them to always look inwards by having occasional meetings with the members of the Union.
He said that the idea was to ascertain the level of their welfare in their various places of work with a view to finding a way to improve on it, adding that unionizm was all about growth and progress of workers in every organization, association and body.
Comrade Okeme, however, said that there was need for dialogue at every given time, stressing that dialogue would go a long way towards bringing peace in all parts of the world.
The SERVICOM boss pledged his office partnership with every union, association and organization as long as it concerns the welfare and growth of workers in Delta state and the nation in general.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of PASAN, Comrade Emmanuel Edozie said that that were in the office of the Special Adviser to introduce the new executive members to him and also to intimate him of some of the challenges they were facing.
Comrade Edozie listed the challenges to include the review of house of assembly service commission bill, relocation of their accommodation to more secure and better place, training and training of staff, granting of autonomy to the commission, a review of their special duties allowance amongst others.
High point of occasion was a group photographer by the Special Adviser on Labour and SERVICOM, Comrade Okeme and the newly executive members of the Union.
