Ogorugba Honoured for Leadership, Community Service at Adam Igbudu Institute Anniversary

EMEVOR/Nigeria: The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Godwin Ogorugba, has been recognized for his outstanding leadership and commitment to community development with a prestigious award.

The honour was conferred on him on Tuesday during the 12th anniversary celebration of the Adam Igbudu Christian Institute in Emevor, which is affiliated with the University of Port Harcourt.

Presenting the award, the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Warri and Chairman of the Institute’s Governing Council, Rt. Rev. C.E. Ide, JP, commended Ogorugba for his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to serving his community.

“I present this award to you in recognition of your exceptional leadership and commitment to community service,” Bishop Ide stated.

Expressing his appreciation, Ogorugba said he was surprised by the invitation but felt a deep sense of nostalgia, recalling his early days as a young member of the Anglican Association for Public Service (AAPS) and witnessing the school’s growth over the years.

“I accepted the invitation with a deep sense of nostalgia, as Emevor is my maternal home. This school has continued to thrive over the past 12 years and has withstood the test of time. As the chairman of this council, being the host local government, I assure you that this institution will continue to receive our support,” he said.

Ogorugba expressed gratitude to the institution for the recognition, noting that the award would further inspire him to deepen his contributions to community development.
