Speaking to a Unilag FM Radio correspondent in Lagos on Tuesday after defending his postgraduate academic dissertation, Oghenesivbe assured that the pace of infrastructural and socio-economic development across Delta’s three senatorial districts would accelerate in the coming years.

He highlighted the ongoing benefits from the governor’s MORE agenda, which includes reforms and developmental programmes that are already improving the lives of the people.

Oghenesivbe further noted that prudent fiscal management had resulted in savings of over N200 billion through cost-cutting measures and the elimination of financial leakages. He emphasised that the proposed N936 billion budget for 2025 would transform Delta State into a vast construction zone, driving job creation and economic prosperity.

On the political front, Oghenesivbe addressed the internal crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the national level. He expressed optimism that the party would resolve its conflicts and regain strength ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Oghenesivbe criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), contrasting the current economic hardships with the more prosperous years under PDP’s 16-year governance. He called on PDP governors and founding members to unite against forces attempting to undermine the party before the next election cycle.
