Oborevwori Vows Fairness in Infrastructural Development and Appointments in Delta State
ASABA/Nigeria: Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has reassured the people of Delta State that his administration would prioritize fairness and justice in distributing infrastructural development projects and political appointments throughout the state, while at same time , pledged to uphold the M.O.R.E Agenda for Deltans, ensuring that all regions of the state would be equally involved.
He stated this at a public presentation of the book “Hope and Fulfilment,” which highlights Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s achievements, in an event that took place in Asaba.
Governor Oborevwori expressed his commitment to not only building upon the accomplishments of the Senator Okowa-led administration but also going above and beyond for the welfare of the people and residents of Delta State. He emphasized that more appointments would be forthcoming and encouraged those who haven’t received appointments yet not to lose hope but to continue working with the state government to promote sustainable development in the region.
During the event, the Governor praised the book’s authors for their meticulous research in chronicling Senator Okowa’s massive developmental strides and lauded Okowa for his remarkable governance over the past eight years. Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the authors and the people of Delta State for their support, which contributed to the success of his administration. He acknowledged the efforts of the young appointees in the list and attributed the achievements to the collective efforts of his team and the cooperation of Deltans.
The book reviewer, Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, commended the authors for their dedication in creating a compendium that documents the landmark achievements of the Okowa-led administration. The ceremony, chaired by Prof. Andy Egwunyenga, Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka, witnessed various dignitaries, including Chief Eze Nnajiofor, Charles Aniagwu, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, Fidelis Tilije, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, and Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, praising Senator Okowa’s leadership and its positive impact on the state.
Earlier, one of the authors, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, stated that the book aimed to immortalize Senator Okowa’s exceptional accomplishments in infrastructural and human capital development during his eight years in office. The collaborative effort of Messrs Olisa Ifeajika, Frank Igwebueze, Sunny Ogefere, Chukwudi Abiandu, Pius Mordi, Felix Ofou, Nelson Egware, and Mr. Kingsley Kwubosu resulted in the comprehensive documentation of the Senator’s remarkable tenure.
