Oborevwori Salutes Arigbodi, Eta, Ojaide, On DELSU Honorary Doctorates

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated three distinguished Deltans, Chief Brodericks Uvie Arigbodi, MD/CEO of Librod Energy Services Limited, High Chief Enahoro Eta, entrepreneur and MD of Skyward Resources Group, and renowned Professor Tanure Ojaide, on receiving honorary degrees from Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka.
At the university’s 17th convocation on Saturday, Arigbodi was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa), while Eta and Ojaide received Honorary Doctor of Business Administration and Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) respectively.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori lauded Chief Brodericks Arigbodi—whose philanthropy and job‑creation efforts in the oil‑and‑gas sector “underscore his profound impact on society.”
He extolled High Chief Enahoro Eta as “a great industrialist, consummate businessman, and astute philanthropist” whose ventures have spurred economic growth.
Oborevwori praised Professor Ojaide, a socio-political and ecocentric poet and academic, for his unique stylistic vision, his sharp criticism of imperialism and religion, and for bringing honour to Delta State and Nigeria.
“These three illustrious Deltans are quintessential role models, their professional footprints and generosity embody the values we want every Deltan to emulate.”
Oborevwori urged the honourees and all graduands to channel their new laurels toward solving the nation’s economic challenges rather than merely embellishing résumés, noting that “greatness thrives on service.”
