Oborevwori Honors the Legacy of Udu’s Late Monarch

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Thursday expressed heartfelt condolences to the people of Udu Kingdom following the passing of their Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Barr. Emmanuel Bethel Otete Delekpe, Owhorhu I.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori described the late king as a beacon of wisdom, humility, and peace, highlighting his remarkable leadership during his 31-year reign.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I extend my deepest condolences to the family, Udu Kingdom, and the entire Urhobo nation on the passing of His Royal Majesty, Barr. Emmanuel Bethel Otete Delekpe, Owhorhu I. His reign brought about notable development and cohesion within the kingdom,” Oborevwori said.

The Governor praised the late monarch’s unwavering commitment to the unity and socio-economic development of Udu Kingdom and the Urhobo people, acknowledging his contributions to the region’s cultural and economic growth.

Governor Oborevwori concluded by offering prayers for a peaceful and divinely guided transition for the people of Udu Kingdom during this period of mourning.
