Oborevwori Brokers Peace Between Aladja, Ogbe-Ijoh Communities

OSUBI/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Saturday met with stakeholders from Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities in Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas, seeking a resolution to the long-standing land dispute between both communities.
The peace meeting, held at the governor’s residence in Osubi, brought together members of the Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh peace committee, where both parties agreed to embrace peace and abide by the terms of settlement reached.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Oborevwori commended the elders and youths of both communities for their commitment to ending hostilities and pledged to soon announce a formal resolution based on the agreed terms.
Representatives of Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh expressed appreciation to the governor for his intervention, describing his leadership as pivotal in bringing an end to the age-long conflict.
Governor Oborevwori had earlier approved the construction of the Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh road through the State Executive Council to enhance connectivity and foster unity between the two communities.
