Shortly after the letters were read, the Leader of the House, Honourable Ndubisi Okoloafor, called for observations and comments from the lawmakers, followed by the motion that was seconded and adopted after it was put into voice votes by the House leader.
Moving the motion for adoption of the two letters, Honourable Oge Ugbeleme, representing Onicha-Ukwuani Ward 19, emphasized the significance of a perimeter fence in the Secretariat to include enhanced security and beautifying the council premises, just as Honourable Theophilus Opia, representing Utagba-Ogbe Ward 2 called for an indepth scrutiny of the request before its endorsement so that it did not short fall of legislative requirements.
Honourable Okoloafor explained that the proposal for the perimeter fencing of the Secretariat was forwarded to the 6th Assembly by the immediate past Chairman, Honourable (Chief) Ifeanyi Chris Osakwa, noting that the proposal was speedily adopted by the legislators after due legislative process.

He deferred further actions on the request and directed the House Adhoc Committees to further study it and report to the House with its observations, resolutions and recommendations for further actions.
Meanwhile, the councilors have summoned the Head of Personnel Management (HPM) and the Treasurer in the council to appear before them in plenary to explain some grey areas concerning the administration and financial dealings between the periods of the last administration and now that a new administration had taken over the council.
The Local Education Secretary at the council, Comrade Osademe Alexander, had earlier been invited by the councilors to explain circumstance surrounding the deplorable condition of the public primary schools in the area.
His report, which was in writing, was adopted by the House, sequel to all legislative rudiments, and was referred to the House Committee on Education.
