NOA Delta State Commended for Supporting Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda

ASABA/Nigeria: The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Delta State has received commendation for its efforts in promoting the vision and mission of Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as outlined in the MORE agenda.

The commendation came from the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Prince Johnson Erijo, during a visit from the State Director of NOA, Mrs. Tracy Ikolomi, and other top management staff at the Government House in Asaba.

Hon. Erijo expressed his satisfaction with NOA’s role in advancing governance through advocacy and public enlightenment programs aimed at changing public perception of government policies. “The Agency, with offices in all 25 LGAs of the state, has been instrumental in sensitizing the populace on the need to support government initiatives for the greater good of Delta State,” he noted.

Acknowledging the operational challenges faced by NOA, as highlighted by Mrs. Ikolomi, Hon. Erijo called for a closer working relationship between NOA, the State Ministry of Information, and the State Orientation Bureau to achieve a more coordinated approach to the administration’s objectives.

He also drew attention to the upcoming Local Government elections in the state, urging NOA to assist in sensitizing candidates and their supporters on the importance of avoiding violence and adhering to electoral rules.

Earlier, Mrs. Ikolomi explained that the purpose of the visit was to familiarize the Office of the Chief of Staff with NOA’s activities and challenges in the state, and to seek an audience with Governor Oborevwori. She emphasized NOA Delta’s involvement in sensitization programs across various media platforms, aligning with the MORE agenda.

Mrs. Ikolomi appealed to the State Government to address the numerous challenges hindering the Agency’s performance, particularly the lack of operational vehicles and funding constraints.
