No Tension in Ogwashi Poly – Authourity …2nd Convocation to Hold 12 October …Reduce Convocation to N8000

OGWASHI-UKU/Nigeria: The authourity of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, had reacted that there is no tension in the institute, as the process of the recruitment of a polytechnic Liberian is followed to the last.
The school Authourity reacting to the recent media reports on the recruitment exercise of interference and imposition of unqualified applicants to the office of Polytechnic Liberian, as against the more qualified candidates.
In a statement made available by the school authourity signed by the Public Relation Officer, Mr. Billy Onotue, says the polytechnic is calm, as academic and nonacademic activities is going on, most especially as they are preparing the 2019 convocation activities.
“Contrary to news making the round in some sections of the media, particularly the online ,the Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi- Uku is calm and having no form of crisis or tension. The Polytechnic is calm and normal activities relating to both academic and non academic are going on peacefully.”
“The Governing Council of the Delta state Polytechnic Ogwashi- Uku is not in any way trying to force anybody on the institution in whatever capacity , The Governing Council of our great institution is known for following rules and regulations governing the institution and as it relate to the appointment of the Polytechnic Librarian the institution published, short listed and conducted interview as required by law and which is very commendable.”
Meanwhile, the authourity had announced the date of the 2nd combined convocation to hold on the 12 of October 2019, at the permanent site of the institution.
The management has also reduce the payment of the convocation pack from N10,000 to N8,000 for the benefit of our graduands.
