No Plans to Leave PDP, Governor Oborevwori Focused on Inclusive Development- Oghenesivbe …..Praises Refinery Startup

ASABA/Nigeria: Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, has praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s political collaboration with the federal government, describing it as pivotal to Delta State’s socioeconomic growth. “Good governance requires synergy between states and the federal government to drive economic growth and prosperity.

This partnership is already yielding monumental results for Delta State,” he said.

Dr. Oghenesivbe dismissed rumors suggesting the governor’s alliance with the federal government signals plans to defect to another political party, calling such claims “laughable and unthinkable.” He reaffirmed that Governor Oborevwori is fully committed to inclusive development under his MORE Agenda, which prioritizes sustainable growth and collaboration for the state’s progress.

The Bureau Chief also called on residents to reject demands that could impede progress, such as calls for stipends for unemployed graduates. “No refinery in the world pays monthly stipends to unemployed youths,” he said. “Warri Refinery will create jobs and wealth through legitimate employment opportunities. We must support investors, not deter them.”

Addressing Delta’s youths, Dr. Oghenesivbe urged them to align with the governor’s vision of revitalizing industries and advancing the state’s economy. “Delta is in good standing economically, with significant progress in all sectors. The governor’s visionary leadership is producing unprecedented results, and we must all rally behind his efforts for a prosperous future,” he said.

He assured Deltans that Governor Oborevwori remains committed to forging partnerships with local and foreign investors to create opportunities for the state’s vibrant population. “Delta’s future is bright, and the governor’s dedication to sustainable development is unwavering,” he added.

This development aligns with Delta State’s focus on fostering innovation, leadership, and sustainable growth across all sectors under Governor Oborevwori’s leadership.

Meanwhile, the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company has resumed operations at nearly 80% production capacity, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s industrial revitalization. Dr. Oghenesivbe described this as a major boost for wealth creation and job opportunities.

Speaking during a television program on Sunday, he emphasized that the refinery’s production of diesel, kerosene, and petrol would spur economic growth and create thousands of jobs for skilled and unskilled workers in Delta State.

Dr. Oghenesivbe further commended Governor Oborevwori’s efforts in driving infrastructural and socioeconomic development through strategic federal partnerships. He dismissed any speculation linking these achievements to political partisanship, emphasizing that the governor remains focused on development across Delta’s three senatorial districts.

According to him, the successful implementation of the governor’s MORE Agenda continues to attract local and foreign investments, further strengthening Delta’s economic prospects. “The production capacity at the Warri Refinery is a welcome development that will significantly boost wealth and job creation in Delta State,” he said.
