KWALE/Nigeria: The Sir ken Okolugbo, Electoral Committee set up by the Chief Johnson Opone led Executive of the Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU, had announced that the committee is set to commence work to elect a new Executive Council to oversee the affairs of the body for the next four years.
In a statement made available to www.ndokwareporters.com, the committee stated that with the expiration of the tenure of the current executive on the May, 29, 2020, that the activities of electing a new leadership is set to begin on 30 of May, 2020.
The committee in the statement that was signed by the Chairman, Sir Ken Okolugbo, and Secretary, Mr. Chris Uzoalu, it said that all stakeholders had been notified, and those who are interested can commence their campaigns into the offices of their choice.
The committee further stated that despite the prevailing circumstances, of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, and gradual lifting of restriction, they are set to organise a befitting election for the people of Ndokwa.
It appeal to all stakeholders to exercise restrain and patience as the committee are working out the best procedures for a free and fair election, that is expected to usher in a strong and better Ndokwa nation, stating that a detail communique on Election Guideline will soon be made available.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Committee, in a private chat with our Reporter, assured that the committee will look into all the divergence views from stakeholders in organising the election.
