New Legislative Chapter Unfolds as Delta 8th Assembly Begins Tomorrow

ASABA/Nigeria: The 8th Assembly of the Delta State House of Assembly will be officially proclaimed and inaugurated by the esteemed Delta State Governor, Rt Hon (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on Tuesday, June 13. This momentous event promises to be a vibrant and ceremonious occasion, commencing at 10am.

Simultaneously, another significant occurrence will take place, as a new Speaker will emerge to steer the affairs of the legislative branch in the 8th Assembly. Governor Oborevwori, who previously served as Speaker for six years in the 6th and 7th Assembly, possesses profound expertise in legislative matters. He will engage with both new and returning lawmakers within the revered chamber before returning to the Government House.

Governor Oborevwori may also utilize this occasion to garner the cooperation of the 8th Assembly in preparation for the seamless commencement and implementation of his M.O.R.E agenda.

The inauguration of the Delta 8th Assembly will be graced by the presence of esteemed individuals including the Delta Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barrister Kingsley Esiso, the Secretary to the Delta State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, the Head of Service, Ferdinand Bayoko, mni, the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon Johnson Erijo, among other senior government officials.

All lawmakers, their spouses, and invited guests are kindly requested to be seated by or before 9:30am.
