Ndokwa Youth Forum Slams Nwaoboshi, Praises Senator Ned Nwoko’s Leadership

ASABA/Nigeria: The Ndokwa Youth Forum has described Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, as a selfless patriot whose leadership is far superior to that of his predecessor, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi.

In a statement signed by its President, Daniel Chukwuji, and General Secretary, Eric Jude Oputa, the group condemned recent comments by Nwaoboshi, calling them “baseless, reckless, and unwarranted attacks” against Senator Nwoko. They labeled Nwaoboshi’s claims of championing equity in power rotation in Delta State as misleading and unworthy of serious consideration.

According to the statement, “No reasonable person would believe Nwaoboshi’s claim to have championed equitable power distribution in Delta North, commonly known as Anioma. Power-sharing in the region has been achieved through collective efforts, with little or no contribution from Nwaoboshi, who is the least qualified to lay claim to such a struggle.”

The group criticized Nwaoboshi’s call for the Delta North Senate seat to rotate to Ndokwa in 2027, describing it as hypocritical and laughable. They highlighted his lack of tangible achievements during his tenure as senator, accusing him of prioritizing personal gains over the needs of Anioma people, particularly the Ndokwa/Ukwuani communities.

“Unlike Nwaoboshi, Senator Nwoko has earned the admiration of Ndokwa people through his active representation, particularly his efforts on the Okpai electricity project, advocacy on environmental issues, and commitment to improving living standards,” the statement read. “These are achievements Nwaoboshi failed to deliver during his controversial time in office.”

The group also dismissed Nwaoboshi’s claims of superiority in education, politics, and financial status, describing them as “dishonest and unashamedly bizarre.” They praised Senator Nwoko as a world-class scholar with degrees from the University of Keele and King’s College London, a successful lawyer, and a respected entrepreneur whose wealth was earned through hard work, unlike the “unexplained wealth” they accused Nwaoboshi of flaunting.

“Senator Nwoko’s achievements, including founding Nigeria’s first sports university and his advocacy for the Paris Club loan refunds, are unmatched. His leadership continues to impact lives positively, making him a beacon of hope for Anioma people and beyond,” the group stated.

The forum concluded by urging the public to disregard Nwaoboshi’s divisive rhetoric and recognize Senator Nwoko’s contributions as a visionary leader committed to the development of Delta North and the entire state.
