Ndokwa Stakeholders Praise Progress on Kwale-Beneku Bridge, Emphasize Quality and Collaboration

KWALE/Nigeria: Stakeholders in Ndokwa have expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing work on the Kwale-Beneku Bridge, praising the collaborative efforts with the contractor and emphasizing the importance of adhering to quality specifications.
The bridge project, which began under the administration of former Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has been a long-awaited development for the region, and its completion is now anticipated with renewed optimism.
The stakeholders have worked closely with the contractor to ensure a smooth construction process free from the disruptions of youth harassment that previously plagued the project. Their collaborative approach has been instrumental in maintaining the project’s momentum and addressing community concerns effectively.
“We are committed to ensuring that the bridge is completed without any further interruptions, and we are closely monitoring the project’s progress,” a representative of the stakeholders stated.
In their ongoing efforts to guarantee the quality of the construction, the stakeholders have also advised the contractor to adhere strictly to the specified guidelines and standards. This focus on maintaining high-quality workmanship is seen as crucial for the long-term durability and safety of the bridge.
Engr. Marypaul, the State Government’s site supervisor from Amai, has been urged to uphold the highest standards of conduct to ensure that the project meets all required specifications.
The completion of the Kwale-Beneku Bridge has been a significant milestone for the Ndokwa community, which has waited patiently for the project to come to fruition. The stakeholders are hopeful that the bridge’s nearing completion will bring positive changes to the region and enhance connectivity.
“Our wait for this project, which began during Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s tenure, is almost over. We are grateful for the progress made and look forward to the bridge’s completion,” a stakeholder remarked.
The stakeholders acknowledged the role of key figures such as Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, Chief Fidelis Tilije, and Hon. Charles Emetulu for being instrumental in advancing the project.
It stated their efforts in ensuring the timely release of funds to the contractor have been widely acknowledged and appreciated by all Ndokwa stakeholders.
“We extend our thanks to these leaders for their commitment to facilitating the project’s funding,” the stakeholders said.
Looking ahead, the Ndokwa stakeholders are hopeful that the same spirit of collaboration and dedication will drive further development projects in the region.
They anticipate that the successful completion of the Kwale-Beneku Bridge will pave the way for more significant infrastructural advancements and deliverables that will benefit the Ndokwa community and beyond.
It is worth noting that, in addition to the concerns regarding fund disbursement, some youths in the area particularly those associated with the traditional rulers were involved in demanding substantial payments from the contractor.
