ABOH/Nigeria: Elected and appointed political officeholders in Ndokwa East Local Government Area have resolved to work together for the collective good of their constituents, pledging to support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.
The resolution was reached on Monday at a strategic meeting convened by the member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Ezechi emphasized the need for unity among political leaders to achieve the common goal of advancing the well-being of the people. He reminded them that their legacies would be defined by the tangible impact they make in the lives of their constituents.
The federal lawmaker commended the officials for their unwavering support for the Oborevwori administration, urging them to ensure that the people of Ndokwa East benefit significantly from the governor’s MORE agenda. According to him, Governor Oborevwori has exceeded expectations since assuming office on May 29, 2023, and needs all stakeholders to propagate his achievements at the grassroots.
Hon. Ezechi also called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the LGA to remain united and committed to strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
In their remarks, the member representing Ndokwa East in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Prince Emeka Osamuta, alongside Chief Emmanuel Onyeukwu, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, Chief Vincent Osilonya, Chief Tony Amechi, Dr. Charles Olisa, and Pastor Ken Otuya, lauded Hon. Ezechi for initiating the meeting, describing it as a crucial step in forging a united front for the progress of Ndokwa East.
They expressed satisfaction with the infrastructural and human capital development strides of Governor Oborevwori and pledged their continued support for his administration and the PDP.
The meeting culminated in the passage of a vote of confidence in Governor Oborevwori, following a motion moved by Hon. Prince Emeka Osamuta and seconded by Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu.
