Mulade Lauds Okowa For Receptive Leadership Disposition

ASABA/Nigeria: The Chairman, Board of Trustees, Delta State Civil Society Organizations Forum (DELCOF), Chief Sheriff Mulade has described Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as a caring and receptive leader that has the interest of the people at heart.
Chief Sheriff made the assertion during the inauguration of the exco of DELCOF in Asaba, Delta State.
“My profound and special appreciation goes to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his receptive attitude to the yearnings of Deltans.
Again, for giving civil society practitioners in the state from his first term in office to date, leading to the appointment of veterans in the development industry into critical position ls in his government, we indeed very grateful to you sir,” he stated.
Mulade, who is also the National Coordinator of Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), noted that DELCOF comprised over 250 registered members, focusing on different thematic areas of development, all of whom, he said work to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Delta State and in Nigeria at large.
According to him, the aim of the organization was to strengthen the underlying principles of good governance and targets of SDGs through collaborative efforts of non – state actors to create a sense of corporation, mutual harmony and affection.
“DELCOF is a body of non -state actors enjoying effective partnership for sustainable development in Delta State, whilst our mission is building the capacity of member organizations to promote good governance and development and where necessary, to acta’s a clearing house for non – state actors/donors channelling development grants intended for programme implementation”
“We also act as a liason and link between member organizations and relevant government MDAs to promote general understanding and cooperation between the non – state actors and government among others,” he stated.
The highpoint of the event was the swearing-in of the exco lead by Dr. Andrew Agboro.
