Kwara First Lady, Olufolake AbdulRazaq, Wins Prestigious ‘World Best First Lady Award’

ILLORIN/Nigeria: The apex council of the World Leadership Merit Award (WOLMA) has approved the nomination of the First Lady of Kwara State, Amb. Prof. Olufolake AbdulRazaq, for the esteemed World Best First Lady Award.

Her selection follows the recommendation of the WOLMA Nomination Committee, recognizing her tireless commitment to the welfare of women and children. Notably, her sponsorship of the domestication and implementation of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law, as well as her leadership in the Child Rights Implementation Committee (CRIC), have been instrumental in advancing gender equality and child protection in Kwara State.

Beyond legislative advocacy, AbdulRazaq’s numerous initiatives focused on empowering women and the girl child have driven significant positive change in the state, earning her global recognition.

In addition to receiving the prestigious award, the Kwara First Lady has also been invited to deliver the keynote address at the special award lecture session, where she will share insights on advancing social welfare and women’s empowerment.
