Issele-Uku Community Community Water Problem Soon to Be Over
ISSELE-UKU/Nigeria: The ongoing water reticulation project in Issele-Uku will reduce the scarcity of portable water in Issele-Uku metropolis.
The President General (PG) of Issele-Uku Development Union, Mr Offordile Uge made the assertion while briefing the press at the Royal palace at Issele-Uku in Aniocha North local government of Delta State. Explained that the project was initiated by the United State Agency for international Development. (USAID), facilitated by E-waters consultants.
The PG, also affirmed that the E-waters consultants were working in collaboration with the state Urban water Board at Asaba, he disclosed that USAID carried out research in Issele-Uku before embarking on the project on a pilot scheme, to provide portable water to residents of lssele-Uku with tariff.
Mr Offordile, while emphasizing that the Issele-Uku people were aware that it will attract tariff before the MOU was signed in 2020, said that when completed each household would be provided with a meter designed for pay as you go.
