Isoko North Chairman Signs N15.26bn 2025 Budget into Law

OZORO/Nigeria: The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba, has signed into law the 2025 Appropriation Bill totaling N15.26 billion, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to development and the welfare of the people.
Ogorugba also assented to the Isoko North rates, levies, and license fees law, emphasizing the council’s dedication to boosting revenue generation for infrastructural growth and service delivery.
Speaking during the budget signing at his office in Ozoro on Thursday, he expressed confidence that funds sourced from various revenue streams would adequately address the needs of the people.
Breaking down the budget, Ogorugba revealed that N9.45 billion (61.95%) is allocated for recurrent expenditure, while N5.8 billion (38.05%) is earmarked for capital projects. He commended the Legislative Arm for its cooperation and thorough review of the financial plan.
“I sincerely appreciate the Legislative Arm for their collaboration and scrutiny of this budget, which truly represents hope for our people. Let me assure the people of Isoko North that our administration will prioritize the completion of ongoing projects while initiating new, impactful ones to enhance the well-being of our people,” he stated.
The budget was formally presented for assent by the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Pascal Emeluaha, accompanied by Deputy Leader Edafe Anighoro, Chief Whip Earnest Enerieru Shingle, Deputy Chief Whip Udofa Robinson Omoefe, and Clerk of the Legislative Arm, Oghale Oweh.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Secretary to the Local Government, Vote Umukoro, and the Council Treasurer, Fejiro Elo Ogbogbo.
